Info:
I am currently in my second year of the Master of Architecture program at the University of California, Berkeley, where I am pursuing an interdisciplinary approach to architecture that integrates design, housing policy, and real estate development. In parallel with my M.Arch, I am completing the Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate (ICGRE), which has strengthened my understanding of the economic and regulatory frameworks that shape the built environment.
As a first-generation college student and immigrant, my academic and professional trajectory has been shaped by an appreciation for both hard work and the broader systems that influence how cities are built. My focus as a graduate student has evolved toward understanding architecture as a collaborative and strategic discipline, one that operates not only through form, but through policy, financing, and long-term implementation.
At UC Berkeley, I have pursued this holistic perspective through real estate development coursework at the Haas School of Business, housing policy classes, and advanced design studios. I am currently participating in the Bank of America Affordable Housing Challenge, representing UC Berkeley as one of two architecture majors selected for the competition. Through this experience, I have become increasingly interested in transit-oriented development, walkable urban environments, and multifamily housing typologies, and in exploring how strong architectural design can contribute measurable economic value, policy alignment, and social outcomes, extending beyond aesthetics to support feasibility, livability, and long-term community impact.
My academic work is complemented by professional experience in architectural practice, including work with Revit, Bluebeam, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as exposure to the coordination and documentation processes that support complex projects. I am especially motivated by opportunities to contribute to housing-focused work that balances design rigor with real-world constraints.
